Earlier this summer Louise taught a class in type and food at the School of Visual Arts Masters Workshop in Venice and Rome. The Venice class was held at a beautiful palazzo on the Grand Canal, with an excursion to Tipoteca, the heart-stopping letterpress museum where students and faculty were given free reign of the type and printing presses. Above is a proof an Italian Futurist wood type alphabet, printed after a lunch of seafood risotto and local Prosecco. (Photographs by Jonathan Ro-Schofield)
